Admissions

Whether you are native or non-native English speaker, you can enroll in the program as long as you meet the TESL/TEFL admission requirements, such as college degree and an advanced level of English proficiency. Every Applicant must take the ESL-based Michigan Placement Test, submit a short essay and have an interview with the Director of the Program.

The program is designed to give you knowledge and equip you with skills necessary to effectively serve English learners for whom English is either a second or a foreign language.

The program not only includes 9 weeks of classroom instructions but also 6 weeks of class observations and co-teaching in the Zoni school of your choice where you will get an opportunity to get some experience under the wing of an experienced colleague who will provide you with guidance and feedback.
